Builder · South Texas
Tradesman turned builder. I make bots, automations and tools that do real work.
I spent years building with my hands. Now I build software the same way: look at the job first, make the smallest thing that works, and keep it running.

Selected builds
Things I built and use, mostly to run my own business. Each one started as a chore I got tired of doing by hand.

The bot team
Eleven AI agents with one job each: sales drafts, editing, design, research, code, inbox, calendar, notes. A chief-of-staff bot hands work between them. Anything that sends, posts or spends waits for my OK.

Social pipeline
Bots draft the week's posts and queue them. Every Tuesday I approve or kill each one. Nothing goes out on its own.
-
LifeDash
A passive three-column HUD for a TV next to my desk: personal, work and build, and digital. No chatbot, no database, nothing to click.

OwnerMathSheets
Spreadsheet templates for people who run the place: a plate cost calculator, bakery pricing calculator and weekly food cost tracker.
-
The 7:15 brief
A weekday morning brief. It pulls my calendar, inbox highlights, open loops and bot status into one daily note before I start.

j0sh.wtf
My link-in-bio hub for AI tools, minus the hype. Hand-written HTML on Cloudflare Workers, no framework. It scored 100 on all four Lighthouse mobile categories on Oct 27, 2026.

Dad Can't Draw
A company I built and sold. It's no longer running, so there's no link.
How I build
Same as a job site. Measure twice, build what's needed, clean up after.
- 01
Look at the job first
I watch how the work gets done today before I write anything. Most of the fix is in that first look.
- 02
Build the smallest thing that works
One tool, one job. It ships early, gets used and gets better from real use.
- 03
Keep a human on the switch
Bots draft and prepare. People approve anything that sends, posts or spends money.

Hands first, code second.
I'm Josh McCoy. I wrote my first code in 2004 and I build software the way you'd build anything on a job site: if it doesn't save someone real time on real work, it doesn't ship.
Along the way I built a company, Dad Can't Draw, and sold it.
These days I run McCoy Built, where I teach South Texas business owners to put AI to work themselves. This site is the workshop: the things I've built along the way.
Through McCoy Built
Want AI working in your business?
McCoy Built's main offer is hands-on AI teaching: I show you and your team how to put AI to work in your own business. When a tool needs to be built instead, I scope it on a short call and quote it up front.
- Hands-on AI teaching
- from $1,000/mo month to month
When you need something built
- Custom AI setup
- from ~$2,000 per project
- Custom software
